"Horses for Courses" for University of Limerick
Successful adult education course on Horseracing in Ireland returns for a fourth year to the University of Limerick.
Tuesday 4th October-Tuesday 6th December 2005, 7.30pm-9.30pm.
University of Limerick (UL) Lifelong Learning & Outreach Department is pleased to announce the return of their very popular adult education course on Horseracing in Ireland called "Horses for Courses" to the Lifelong Learning & Outreach programme for a fourth year, this Autumn.
This course, which is supported by Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) runs for ten weeks and covers every aspect of the racing industry, including the role of Trainers, Owners, Breeders, Jockeys, the Turf Club, Horse Racing Ireland, Racecourse Management, Betting, the Equine Centre as well as the Racing Press and Media. It will features over 25 high profile lecturers from all areas of the Irish Racing Industry, including Brian Kavanagh, Chief Executive, Horse Racing Ireland, Denis Egan, Chief Executive, The Turf Club, Francis Hyland, Bookmakers Association, Paddy Power, Paddy Power Bookmakers as well as well known jockeys and trainers.
The course, in the University of Limerick, starts on Tuesday 4th October until Tuesday 6th December, from 7.30pm-9.30pm.
It costs €120 for ten weeks and includes a day at the Christmas Racing Festival at Limerick Racecourse, Greenmount Park, Patrickswell, Co Limerick. with free admission tickets. There will also be a free day at the Kilbeggan Races for all students in the New Year.
