About the Irish Skin Foundation
The Irish Skin Foundation is a relatively new organisation, having been founded in 2011 with the purpose of informing and assisting patients with all forms of skin conditions, which afflict between 25-33% of the Irish population.
Modern science has revolutionised the treatment of skin conditions and the Irish Skin Foundation intends to accelerate the application of research to patients afflicted with skin conditions. Through its close collaboration with the Charles Institute in University College Dublin-a unique centre dedicated to research into skin conditions-the Irish Skin Foundation will bring scientific advances for the treatment of skin conditions from “the bench to bedside” as quickly as possible.
